TOGETHER

There came a day, towards the end of December
Into this world so sweet and tender
One little girl, then two did come
Four tiny arms, four tiny thumbs
A cry in the night, lovely twin girls
Cute little smiles, hair without curls...
Together

Crawling around, one day they did
Eating their food, with a messy bib
Up and down both did go
Learning to walk, with faces aglow
Then off in a dash, they began to run
Hand in hand, in a soft morning sun...
Together

One, two, three, four then five
Growing girls, so young and alive
Mirror mirror, hours to preen
Two little girls, now sixteen
Boy's delight, yummy ice cream
Beautiful eyes, full of dreams...
Together

A bond between, these young teens
Strength beyond earthly means
Close together, we did see
That's what twins are meant to be
Another bond, deep inside
Their love for Christ, they did not hide..
Together

One dark night, without a clue
Their bond between held so true
Life so strong, growing faint
All we could do was pray and wait
The fight they fought, they held on tight
Beauties of life, fades into night
Into this world, both did come
And from this earth, they left as one...
Together

Life so pure, life so sweet
Now with Jesus they did meet
His arms around, protecting them
Forever loving and kissing them
They have become a shining light
They won the battle, they won the fight
No more darkness, no more fright
Through Jesus Christ, they delight...
